You will rediscover this beautiful villa with the exhibition “Splendori del Settecento sul Lago di Como. Villa Carlotta e i marchesi Clerici” (June 22nd – November 3rd). The fame of the residence as well as the fame of Lake Como was amplified during the 19th century by numerous travelers who through a series of guides and chronicles, printed and painted images, let people know the beauties of those places, such as those described in the exhibition “Chiare, fresche e dolci acque. Viaggi fotografici sul Lago di Como” (April 12th – June 9th). In the exhibition “Telai e trame d’autore. Da Leonardo a Maria Lai” (June 22nd – November 3rd) works of ancient and contemporary art, attentively selected that lead the visitor in an evocative journey in the world of the textile art with the history of the company Canclini based in Como. A refined collection of rare and precious materials that includes the models of textile machines taken by some projects of Leonardo da Vinci dedicated to the engineering and to the technique.
