“Cartagena” is the title of the song born from the collaboration between Ivana Spagna and Jay Santos, from Friday May 10 on the radio and available in digital download “Cartagena” by Jay Santos and Spagna (Tuned Turtle Management s.r.l. distribuzione Artist First), written together with Valenzuela Garzon German Felipe and Giorgio Spagna. The song comes out with its videoclip soon. Ivan Spagna tells us how “Cartagena” was born: “I was working with my brother Theo on a new album coming out in October/November and he told me ‘I have a base I want you to listen, it seems cool’. We heard it together and it was good. I told him that we had to work on that and write the music. So one day Cartagena was born. I asked my manager Ugo Cerruti to hear it and he confermed me that the the song was cool and he suggested me the right person to ask and hear the song: Davide Ippolito, dj and Milanese producer. We organized to meet Davide, a person with lot of energy and with many projects and he immediately liked it. He told me that I would have liked it to listen me sing the song with Jay Santos, I would have organized the meeting. So we met in Milan in his studio with Jay Santos and his manager Stefano Pugnali. Jay listen to the song and he really liked it, so we started working on it and collaborating even though one far from the other, Jay sent the parts to Teo and to me. Jay is amazing, a great professional, he studies every single detail, he has lot of energy and wants to do many things. So we made the song and now we have just finished with the video, I had a great time with him”. “I met Ivana together with Davide Ippolito in the studio of Milan – explains Jay Santos – they ask me to listen to the song ‘Cartagena’ and from the very first notes I understood that was great and that we had to start working on it with Latin and reggeton rhythm. Together with my producer of Madrid Mike Marino, in less than three days we finished the song in Milan. It was a plaeasure to work with Ivana, a great artist, she is a nice person and I am happy to sing this song with her!
