Organised by the Municipality of Como, the festival ‘AcCOMOdatevi – Take a seat’ takes place over the Fridays and Saturdays of the months of August and September, folding into and expanding upon the already wide offering available in Como during the summer.
The events will welcome audiences in a large living room setting for those looking for a beautiful, enjoyable way to spend the Como evenings, presenting semi-staged art performances in impressive locations.
The city thus becomes a great stage, its most attractive locations representing a unique backdrop for moments of widespread animation, dynamic enjoyment for both citizens and curious travelers in search of unique emotions.
Each show lasts between a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 50 minutes, with each artist appearing in two of the three time slots defined based on the habits of the city goers: HAPPY HOUR (from 7 to 8 pm), FIRST PERFORMANCE (from 8:30 to 9:30 pm), and SECOND PERFORMANCE (from 10 to 11 pm). The events are spread over 16 dates on Fridays and Saturdays from 1 August to 30 September, for a total of 33 shows divided into three genres: MUSIC, THEATRE, and VARIOUS ART FORMS. Each show is performed in a different time slot on the same evening and in the same place.
All performances were selected and evaluated by a committee of experts taking into account originality, authorship, the artist’s profile, and the proposed show’s coherence with its setting. The locations were chosen with the aim of promoting the beauty of the city and encouraging an itinerant experience of Como’s markets, shopping, art exhibitions, and other shows, adding to the overall experience offered by the evenings.

AcCOMOdatevi is part of the single calendar of events which will soon be available in paper format at tourist information points, in the city centre, and in 150 hotels and non-hotel facilities on the lake, as well as in another 100 strategic locations in Canton Ticino.
